Turmeric and cinnamon hot chocolate
Turmeric and cinnamon hot chocolate is a great autumnal treat after cold sessions – with a healthy kick

Here’s a great, post-ride warm-up – a smooth, aromatic and creamy Turmeric and cinnamon hot chocolate. Curl up on the sofa and sip the goodness!

Ingredients

  • 500ml coconut milk, milk or almond milk
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric or grated fresh turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp honey or sugar
  • To serve
  • 2 star anise and a little grated turmeric

Methods

  • Step 1

    Blend the milk with the cocoa, spices, and pepper. Pour into a small saucepan and heat through until just boiling. Add honey or sugar to taste.

  • Step 2

    Pour into warmed mugs. Decorate with the star anise and turmeric. Feel the goodness with every sip!

More indulgent?

Add a pinch of chilli and cayenne pepper and a few cubes of 70% dark chocolate at step 1.
