Giant crocodile to feature in next month's event

The Wildman off-road duathlon is set to take place in Ash Vale, Surrey on 16 November, with participants invited to chase a giant crocodile around the course for a spot prize at the finish line.

Participants can expect a long steady uphill leg at the start of the run and bike courses, with run distances of 10km and 15km on offer, as well as a duathlon made up of a 10km run, 18km bike and a final 5km run.

Points will be awarded to the top fifty finishers, with prizes on offer for the overall series champions, as well as spot prizes for everyone who catches the ‘hare’ (a runner in a giant crocodile costume).

The 2013/14 Human Race off-road series involves four events taking place across autumn, winter and spring, with with each event featuring a fully off-road duathlon, plus a long and short distance trail run.

The other events in the series are the Mudman on 7 December at the MOD ground in Camberley, the Iceman in Frimley on 25 January and the TrailMan in the forests of Eridge Park on 22 February.
