Created by Samantha and Jonathan Mayne, Tri-Adventure is a new company hosting a series of sprint adventure races based in the South East of England.

Samantha is the engine behind Tri-Adventure and having worked in the Leisure and Triathlon world for four years she saw the a gap in the Adventure Racing market to put on a sprint event for racers to go harder and faster over a shorter period of time. She recently sponsored Tri-Adventure in the Abu Dhabi Adventure Challenge Race where the team came a very respectable 18th in an International field of the world’s top adventure racers.

Jonathan has been an adventure racer for 10 years and has watched the sport move from 50 plucky Brits at Phil Humphries ACE race series to hundreds of competitors taking part in a variety of races all across the country and world. Jonathan was the course planner for Dynamic Adventure Racing for three years before a sabbatical year travelling the world and setting up his own business took precedent.

The Tri-Adventure races are ideal for beginners want to try adventure racing for the first time through to elite racers who be able to push themselves as hard as they can in the two hours. The race series takes place on the mountain biking mecca of the North Downs in Surrey, a short drive from central London. The extensive network of trails and bridleways make this an ideal destination for Tri-Adventure. Successful racers will need to combine trail running, navigation, mountain biking and a race strategy should they wish to make a claim on the £200 cash prize fund.

The first race series is being held on the North Downs on the 21st February; 21st March and 18th April 2010. Website with online entry now available at www.triadventure.co.uk.
