Slateman Savage planned for 2015

New achievement requires completion of sprint race on Saturday AND the full Slateman on Sunday; tickets go on sale 1 July

Slateman

With this year’s Slateman still fresh in the memory (certainly for 220’s features ed Matt Baird), the organisers have confirmed that tickets for the 2015 event will go on sale on 1 July – and are planning a new achievement for next year, called the ‘Slateman Savage’.

The Slateman Triathlon, held in the heart of Snowdonia National Park in North Wales, sells out quickly every year due to its reputation for stunning scenery and physical challenge. Next year, the organisers plan to add the ‘Slateman Savage’, which requires participants to complete both the Slateman Sprint on Saturday 16 May and the Slateman Full on 17 May.

“The 2014 Slateman was huge for us,” said Tim Lloyd, director of organisers Always Aim High. “The Slateman Full sold out 4 months before the event and that was with record numbers as well. The 2015 event is going to be even bigger. We are expecting a total of 2,100 athletes to be taking part across the weekend.”
