The Paris 2024 Olympic Games, aka the XXXIII Olympiad, are underway and we’ve already crowned two new Olympic triathlon gold medallists in Cassandre Beaugrand and Alex Yee. But we still have one more triathlon to go – the mixed team relay!

When will the triathlon mixed team relay take place at Paris 2024?
Monday 5 August
7am (8am local time) – Mixed team relay event
Where will the Paris Olympic triathlon mixed team relay take place?
It will start from under the Pont Alexandre III bridge, and end on top of the Pont Alexandre III bridge.
What distances do the triathletes race in Paris 2024 mixed team relay?
The mixed team relay is a super-sprint distance whereby four athletes (man, woman, man, woman) each complete a 300m swim, a 5.8km bike and a 1.8km before handing over to their next team member.
What’s the triathlon mixed relay course at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games?
In the mixed team relay event on Monday 5 August, each athlete will have to complete a 300m swim in the Seine followed by two 2.9km laps on the bike totalling 5.8km.
The course isn’t exactly the same as in the individual events, but it does take in some of the same roads.
To finish, competitors will have to complete two 900m run loops (totalling 1.8km), which’ll take them over the bridges of Pont Alexandre III and Pont des Invalides before finishing on the magnificent Pont Alexandre III.

The BBC and Eurosport will be providing extensive coverage of the Olympic Games in the UK, including all three triathlon events. BBC iPlayer and BBC Red Button will also stream some of the action alongside their coverage on BBC One and Two.
