Tri & Enter Events and DB Max Events have teamed up to offer duathletes The FRF Mazda Gower Duathlon and the Prostate UK Gower Sprint Duathlon. Taking place on July 18 2009, the Gower Duathlons will be held on the stunning Gower Peninsula, south-west Wales, and, as well as one of the most spectacular bike and run courses around, there’ll be all the race extras such as a pre-event pasta party, an event campsite and a post-event BBQ.

The FRF Mazda Gower Duathlon is a 5 mile run/20 mile bike/3 mile run kicking off in the village of Rhossili. Competitors will pass through idyllic spots such as Worms Head and Cefn Bryn, taking in stunning scenery during all three legs of the race.

For those that prefer a shorter race instead, the Prostate UK Gower Sprint Duathlon should fit the bill, with a 5k run/20k bike/3k run taking in similarly stunning views.

Participants will be encouraged to ‘make a weekend of it’ with their families and experience some of the best beaches the UK has to offer, as well as enjoying the social gatherings at the event parties, with like-minded run/bike/runners.

There’s also the superb ‘Llangennith Monster’ run for those wishing to race again on the Sunday and top off their weekend in style.

Add to that, cutting edge active chip timing, an event expo and top quality goody bags and prizes, and the FRF Mazda Gower Duathlon is looking like an must-do race for UK duathletes.

Entries are now open and can be found here <http://regonline.activeeurope.com/builder/site/Default.aspx?eventid=720644> , along with maps and details of the top-class bike route. Places are limited so apply early to secure your slot.
