Entries now open for Keswick Mountain Festival
Multiple triathlons taking place in Lake District next May
Entries have now opened for the 2014 Keswick Mountain Festival, taking place in Cumbria on 14 to 18 May and featuring three different triathlons through some of the Lake District’s most beautiful scenery.
There will be a short-course triathlon on Saturday 17 May involving a 400m swim in Derwent Water lake, followed by a 20km bike and a 5km run.
The main triathlon will take place the following day, and involves a 750m swim followed by a 35km cycle ride and an 11km run. There will be team relays for both events at the same time.
In addition to the triathlons, the eighth annual Keswick Mountain Festival will also feature individual running, cycling and swimming events, along with extensive family-oriented activities, a major programme of guided walks, high-profile speakers and film nights.
