Highlights of his 2013 season include winning Ironman UK (3.8km run/180km bike/42.2km run) for the second time running in 8:45:48, and winning the much shorter-distance Jersey Triathlon (750m/40km/2.5km) in 1:57:58.
The Home Nation triathlon teams (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) will be announced within the next couple of months, with the English team likely to be revealed after WTS London at the beginning of June.
The athletes will be racing over Olympic distance (1.5km/40km/10km) at Strathclyde Country Park, with the men’s and women’s finals taking place on Thursday 24 July, and the Mixed Relay event (a new inclusion for this year’s Games) being held on Saturday 26 July.
