Club Relays to include U20s tri festival

Nottingham to host triathlon showpiece for Europe’s finest

The classic annual Club Relays event in Nottingham this year will be preceded by Europe’s top junior triathletes arriving at the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham to compete at the British Triathlon U20s Festival on Friday 22 August 2014. The rest of the weekend will see 2,000 amateur triathletes join forces for the Triathlon England – National Club Relay Championships on 23 and 24 August.

The festival takes place in Nottingham’s well-known triathlon amphitheatre (and home of the Outlaw), the National Water Sports Centre, and will host an ETU Junior European Cup alongside an elite youth race. The event will also include the British Triathlon Inter Regional Championships where young triathletes from triathlonscotland, Welsh Triathlon and each of the Triathlon England regions compete not only for individual honours but also for the coveted team title.

All European junior triathletes wishing to enter the sprint distance event (750m swim/20km bike/5km run) should contact their National Federation, whilst any British Juniors should apply via British Triathlon. The entry process for Home Nation teams entering the British Triathlon Inter Regional Championships is managed by the relevant Home Nations.

The following two days will host the Triathlon England – National Club Relay Championships, an event that will see club triathletes from all over the country battle it out for National titles.
