Chris McCormack to race Challenge Atlantic City

Aussie athlete heading to debut event

Challenge Atlantic City

Australia’s Chris ‘Macca’ McCormack is confirmed for the first Challenge Atlantic City triathlon next June – though there’s no chance he will be lining up against Lance Armstrong.

Describing Atlantic City as a focus event for him in 2014, two-time Ironman World Champion McCormack said: “I am looking forward to it more than anything, it’s been a long time coming.”

McCormack hit the headlines recently after he invited disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong to race against him in a private, non-sanctioned triathlon, which drew this response from Armstrong.

While there is no confirmation on if – or when – their private race happens, McCormack will undoubtedly be training hard as he looks for a win in Atlantic City on 29 June, 2014.
