Zoot Performance CompressRx

With Zoot’s CompressRx Calf Sleeves having scored extremely highly in our calf guards grouptest last issue, we expected great things of their equivalent tights. The hefty price tag of £150 further raised our expectation bar. But getting the tights on is quite a task.

Having been warned by the website to be gentle, it’s an inch-by-inch affair… but definitely worth persevering with. You might get frustrated with them if you were tired, wet and cold after a tough race, though.

The fit is fantastic – almost sprayed on – and the graduated compression is very noticeable. A real fitting plus point is that although the tights are extremely compressive around the calves, thighs and buttocks, around the waist they’re extremely comfortable and non-constrictive.

Out running, the support given is fantastic, there’s no annoying slipping and wicking is excellent. The tights are equally effective for just chilling post-training where the comfy waist is a real bonus.
