Sugoi Velocity

Sugoi has created a desirable tri-suit in the Velocity by achieving a barely-there feel that will only enhance your performance. The lightweight, supple ?fabric is highly water-repellent, which is great during the swim-to-bike transition, as the water just rolls off.

However, this super-fine fabric doesn’t have much power or compression against the body and, during the swim, water enters without much resistance. This causes drag and bagging to the point that the suit retains around the same amount of water as the thicker, more absorbent alternatives. On the other hand, on dry land it performed admirably, and you can see why this fabric was chosen.

There’s a relatively large amount of body coverage, including rather wide shoulder ?panels. The minimalist seat pad is also excellent, albeit one of the problem areas for water absorption. In summary, the Velocity is a good option for anyone who usually feels uncomfortable during the run and prefers ?suits with a super lightweight feel.
