Sugoi RPM tri-suit review

Sleek and well thought out, at a decent price

Canadian multisport clothing brand Sugoi offer this suit as part of their RPM collection, which they say has a ‘sleek design and a performance aesthetic’ – and the ‘Chilli Red’ colour does make it stand out, while not being too flashy.

Although it gives you more ventilation options, the front zipper design makes the suit sag down a little at the front if you have a broad frame. While the mesh panels at the back are very welcome on hot days, making the suit more suitable for high summer.

Under a wetsuit, nothing pulled or rode up in the top half, but the legs became quite baggy when wet and needed pulling down in T1. The suit made for a comfortable ride/run, and no further adjustments were needed when it’d dried out.

There were also no issues with the chamois. We finished our race chafe-free and satisfied that the suit had done the job for the most part.

Verdict: Ticks nearly all the boxes, and at a decent price too, 84%
