Huub Long-Course Suit – first look

Made with the input of six-time Kona king Dave Scott, this short-sleeved suit aims to dissipate body heat and improve aerodynamics

A major tri launch at Interbike was Huub’s new short-sleeved tri-suit, made in collaboration with six-time King of Ironman Hawaii Dave Scott.

“We’ve taken all the information that Dave could throw at us,” says Huub founder Dean Jackson, “and added his passion for breathability and mesh panels to create a heat-escaping, reflective garment.”

Those mesh panels are located along the spine and lower back in a bid to let heat dissipate, with Coldblack technology also utilised to manage temperatures.

Like the new Louis Garneau tri-suit we also saw at Interbike, the Huub suit opts for sleeves to improve aerodynamics and offer sun protection.

With Fusion and Castelli also going down this path, are vest suits a thing of the past? We’ll be testing Huub’s new, sleeved two-piece suit soon…
