Erox Endurance Men’s Olympic

New to the UK for the 2009 season, Erox is a Swiss triathlon-only brand with a great range of products, from wheels to shoes to bikes, of which we tested last issue.

The Endurance provides a simple performance offering with a snug fit that contours well over the body. This snugness becomes a touch too ‘snug’ at the neck, though, applying undesirable pressure on your throat. Thankfully, this restriction’s reduced when in action.

In the pool it’s smooth and its lightweight materials don’t soak up much water, while on the bike and run, though you notice the tight and slightly scratchy seams, leg movement is unrestricted.

In terms of thermoregulation it performs very well, wicking away sweat quickly. The white finish will also keep the temperature effects of the sun to a minimum, albeit at the cost of decency – it’s a little transparent. The leg grip, quality chamois and comfy zip all improve this suit’s value. Overall, a fine suit at a good price.
