Craft Elite

The first thing we noticed about the Craft Elite suit was the colour: while it may appeal to some tastes, we think it’s decidedly dull.

But that negative vibe didn’t transcend to its feel – it’s comfortable and doesn’t restrict movement in any of the disciplines. A good chamois provides sufficient padding on the bike, while not being too thick or becoming heavy in the water. We also like the shape of the pockets on the back of the suit, which don’t cause much drag in the swim and still remain easy to use out of the water.

There is one major disappointment with the Elite, though: the material. It’s very thin and an extra garment will be required underneath to maintain decency. Its revealing properties are exacerbated by the top half of the suit being white!

Overall, it performs well but the good work’s undone because it can’t be worn without undergarments, which will lead to increased weight and heat build-up.
