Specialized Miura Shield

The Specialized Miura glasses have a distinct aesthetic that proved popular with our testers. The use of optical hinges meant the arms felt solid and robust. The ear grippers and nose piece were particularly comfortable, and the glasses felt exceptionally stable both on the bike and while running. The lens shape was also excellent, and we almost forgot we had them on.
Made from NXT, the same material as the Rudy Project Rydons, the Miura’s lens seemed to be at the darker end of the spectrum. Replaceable lenses aren’t available, so if you plan to use your eyewear in poor light conditions you may have to buy a second set, but the glasses are compatible with Specialized’s Helix prescription insert system.
Overall, a great pair of glasses for mid to bright conditions – and for those of you who really like to stand out.
