There’s no better time to buy a Garmin watch than now thanks to these huge discounts
Need a new watch to keep track of your training? Thanks to the Amazon Prime Day sale, you can get some of Garmin's best watches with huge discounts. Take a look at what's on offer...
Triathlon is an expensive sport. We all know that. Wetsuits, tri-suits, triathlon bikes… It’s easy to spend a lot of money on kit, and that extends to triathlon watches, too.
But the good news is that there are some huge discounts on Garmin watches in the Amazon Prime Day sale, making this one of the best times to purchase.
What is the Amazon Prime Day sale?
Amazon Prime Day is a two-day sale event that takes place between 16-17 July and is exclusively available to Amazon Prime members. The sale includes everything from energy gels and goggles to running headphones.
There’s also a range of hefty discounts on many models of Garmin watches, which we’ll run through below.
To access these deals, you’ll need to have an Amazon Prime membership. If you don’t have one, you can sign up with a free trial now.
What Garmin watches have discounts?
Now, let’s get onto the deals… You can view all of the Amazon UK Prime Day Garmin deals here and the Amazon USA Prime Day Garmin deals here, but you may not be able to see them all if you don’t have a Prime membership. So here’s what’s on offer:
Garmin Fenix 7
This is one of our favourite triathlon watches on the market (see our full Fenix 7 review to find out why). It’s rugged, has incredible battery life and has all of Garmin’s top training and performance features.
The GPS and HR tracking is accurate, the maps are highly usable and the choice of touchscreen or buttons gives you the best of both worlds.
There’s very little we can find fault with here, except the price. But it’s now available in the Prime Day sale for £349.99. You can also get the smaller Fenix 7S for £349.99, while the larger Fenix 7X Solar is available for £416.99.
Garmin Forerunner 255
Pound for pound, this is probably the best-value Garmin watch you can buy right now, thanks to the Amazon Prime Day sale.
A price of £179.99 down from £299.99 makes it very attractive and the watch comes with pretty much everything you need from a triathlon watch (see our full Forerunner 255 review for the detail).
The biggest miss is in-built mapping (you still get a breadcrumb trail, though) and top fitness features such as Real-Time Stamina.
However, you still get all of your activity tracking, decent battery life and a host of training features, such as Training Status and Recovery Time.
Garmin Epix Gen 2
Here’s another market-leading option at a very attractive price.
The Epix Gen 2 scored 92% in our review, making it the highest-scoring triathlon watch we’ve tested in recent years.
It shares a lot of the same functionality as the Fenix 7, but adds a brilliant AMOLED screen to the mix.
Alongside that, you get every training feature you could want, excellent battery life and a premium build.
You can get the Epix Gen 2 on sale at Amazon UK for £399.99, down from £619.99. It’s also on sale at Amazon USA for $449.99.
Garmin Instinct 2
There aren’t many watches out there that are as tough as the Instinct 2, which can take some serious bumps and scrapes with ease.
The screen isn’t as high quality as you’ll find on the Fenix, Epix or Forerunner 255, but it’s perfectly usable, displaying info in a manner that’s easy to read.
Battery life is very good, you get breadcrumb navigation and a host of training features, including VO2 max, Training Status and Recovery Time.
There are dozens of activity profiles to choose from, too, including triathlon, while GPS and heart rate tracking proved accurate. See our Garmin Instinct 2 review for more insight.
Get the standard Instinct 2 right now from Amazon UK for £159.99, down from £219.99, or get the Instinct 2 Solar for £199.99, down from £289.99.
In the Amazon US sale, you can get the Instinct 2S for $219.99, down from $399.99.
Garmin Forerunner 55
The Forerunner 55 is the cheapest Garmin watch around right now and as such, it lacks a lot of functionality you get in higher-end options.
There’s no multisport mode or mapping, but it’s a great entry-level option if you just want to track your runs and daily activity.
You also get smartphone connectivity and some useful training features, including Garmin Coach.
Get the Forerunner 55 now for just £109.99, down from £159.99.
