Check My Level training monitor – first look

Different to HRV monitors, this one measures readiness of your neuromuscular system

Training readiness measurement is becoming more popular with athletes of all levels, and Check My Level is the latest gadget along those lines.

What makes this one a bit different, though, is that rather than measure heart rate variablility (HRV), it uses a low level electrical current to monitor the state of your neuromuscular system.

The kit contains a monitor unit that talks to your phone via Bluetooth, and electrodes to attach to your wrist. The companion app that displays data is available on Android and iOS.

Price: £209 from www.checkmylevel.com.
