Review: Aqua Sphere Kaiman Exo swim goggles

Not cheap but a superior sequel from Aqua Sphere

Every major sports manufacturer has one range that creates their global reputation. Kaiman is Aqua Sphere’s, which has sold over eight million globally. The Exo is their latest incarnation and, thankfully, builds on the model’s strong reputation.

Aqua Sphere has utilised new ‘EXO core bi-material frame technology’ in a bid to reduce weight, add stability and improve hydrodynamics. They certainly feel lighter than previous models and stay firmly in place, albeit that nose bridge may be a touch long for some. If so, go for the ‘Small Fit’.

The quick-adjust buckle is simple to adjust – even on the move if you’re a strong swimmer. Equally as impressive is the eye seal, which elicits the optimal level of pressure to prevent water ingress but not at the expense of sucking your eyeballs out of their sockets! Forward and peripheral vision is good, in the pool and open water, with tinted and clear options covering all aquatic conditions.
