Great fit, excellent value for money and features that have been carefully-considered. Love it! Score: 90%

Pros

  • Quality for the price
  • Well-fitting
  • Lots of features

Cons

  • Not much

Probably the most eye-catching of the short sleeve women’s cycling jerseys on test, the Stolen Goat Ibex is also up there as one of the most comfortable.

This jersey, from Stolen Goat’s range of everyday all rounder kit, provides  comfort, performance and style all at a reasonable price.

Stolen Goat Ibex SS Jersey design and fabrics

The fabric is soft on the skin, lightweight and super-stretchy to offer a really good fit. The cut coupled with the four-way stretch fabric provides plenty of length in the body – a feature not always present in women’s cycle jerseys – whilst maintaining the close  body fit to ensure no hindrance to performance or baggy areas.

Given the fabric used, I would imagine the jersey would work well for different female body shapes too.

The full length zip was easy to plug in and runs up and down smoothly without any catching.

The sleeves have a super neat laser-cut edge which means no seams and a great fit around the biceps.

Around the bottom of the jersey, the elasticated band with silicone grippers held the back in place and prevented any rising up during a ride.

Stolen Goat Ibex SS Jersey comfort and breathability

The slightly larger collar creates a cosy neckline and the small zip garage prevents the zipper contacting the skin and causing unnecessary chafing without interfering with getting the zip all the way up.

A comfortable temperature was maintained throughout riding both indoors on the training and, where the weather permitted, on outdoor rides. The jersey is great at wicking away any sweat but doesn’t become soggy or heavy with the moisture.

It doesn’t have any ventilation panels, but they weren’t necessary as the fabric  performed well in maintaining a comfortable body temperature. The jersey was also very quick to dry post laundering so was ready to put back on clean and fresh in no time.

The clever printing of the laundry instructions (hidden within the rear pocket yet contained within the fabric print) is a great touch. Especially for someone who ends up cutting out the annoying  labels to prevent unnecessary scratching and then does not have the care instructions when it comes to washing..!

Stolen Goat Ibex SS Jersey features

Visibility is an important factor and this Slamm design certainly ensures you won’t be missed on the road. The bright panel on the rear with neon pink and yellow is certainly eye-catching. The jersey comes in a number of colour ways enabling you to find a style tailored to your personality and mood.

The Ibex jersey offers great storage with three good sized pockets for snacks, a rain jacket and other essentials with a useful fourth zip pocket to keep your keys safe so they are not accidentally jettisoned with grabbing a snack mid ride.
