K-Swiss Keahou

The gold, silver and bronze scored by Mirinda Carfrae, Andreas Raelert and Julie Dibens at Ironman Hawaii 2010 confirmed K-Swiss’ position as a major player in the tri scene.

The Californian brand hasn’t skimped on style, though, and the Keahou is certainly a handsome creation. More importantly, these shoes are comfortable on your feet, being well-cushioned in the forefoot, which is accommodating for the wider foot.

This is a shoe that goes about its work in an efficient manner. Okay, it’s one for those who pronate slightly but for most of us it’ll do a fine job due to K-Swiss’ Superfoam cushioning and general construction. If there’s one complaint it’s that testing these shoes in the winter was a disheartening experience as they’re just too white in appearance. Aesthetics aside, when venturing on the trails the results weren’t up to some hard graft on the winter trails.
