Adidas Ultra Boost running shoes – first look
Latest Boost incarnation touted as the "greatest running shoe ever"
Say hello to the latest addition to the Adidas Boost line of innovative Energy Return running shoes: the Ultra Boost, which the brand claims is the “greatest running shoe ever”.
Ultra Boost has done away with the usual EVA midsole, trading it for 20% more Boost foam material than the Adidas Energy Boost and giving this new model the highest Energy Return cushioning in the industry.
The shoe also has a new heel counter that’s purported to cradle your foot like a babe and allow for your Achilles tendon’s free, natural movement. It’s also designed to offer more stability and control, with a dual-density Torsion System built into the base.
An update to Adidas’ Primeknit technology expands as your foot does to provide maximum comfort and support – which also means bye bye, blisters – while a Stretch Web outsole claims to stretch and adapt to your foot strike.
