Asics Eikoku

If you’re looking for a plain and simple pair of tights that won’t break the bank, then keep reading; if you’re after something more, though, this offering from Asics might disappoint.

As a lightweight, thinner pair of tights, they’re definitely better suited to wearing on milder autumn days rather than harsh winter ones, which reduces their versatility.

They’re simply made and designed, without extensive panelling or inner linings, and there’s little in the way of reflective piping or logos. And as far as colour and style go, they certainly aren’t breaking any new ground, either.

But it’s not all bad news as thought has clearly gone into the design of the ankle zippers, with a flap between the zip and your skin to prevent chafing.

That said, it’s soon back to the negative, as there’s no zip pocket – just a small internal pouch tucked into the waistband, which isn’t ideal for storage.

For £25, they’re certainly affordable, but for another fiver you could buy a much more robust pair of all-weather tights.
