Adidas Supernova XT

Running at this time of year always presents a challenge in terms of kit decisions. Just because the sun is shining, the temperature can still be uncomfortably low, and rain isn’t normally too far away. Could a running top like the Supernova XT Half Zip be the answer?

This mid layer provides good coverage, breathability and useful functionality. The softly finished fabric feels great against the skin, even at higher sweat rates, but with enough insulation to help manage any unexpected cold front, and the fit is dynamic with no noticeable irritation through the majority of the garment. In fact it’s only the sleeves that let it down as they seem unnecessarily baggy leading to a great deal of annoying flapping. But this is forgiven due to an excellent overall finish.

One specific little detail that made a positive difference is the asymmetrically positioned rear pocket, making for quick and easy access to keys, change or whatever else you choose to stow away in its snug confines
