720 Armour YoYo

Coming in some extremely stylish packaging – including a denim-covered hard case – the Australian YoYos opened their account well. Along with the lightweight and minimalist frame, you get the three key lenses (dark, yellow light enhancing and clear).

Slipping them on, the fit is excellent but immediately the small lens size raised concerns. Although they were rock solid during all the tests, showed no tendency to fog and were super comfortable to run in, the field of vision just wasn’t good enough for cycling.

On the mountain bike they were okay but our tester was constantly aware of the frame in his vision whenever he leant forwards. When down in time-trial position, half of our field of view was above the level of the lens, thus defeating the point of wearing sunglasses. Poor show from a nation of sunnie wearers.
