XCP Green One bike lube
Spray made almost entirely from bio materials described by UK maker as an eco alternative to oil-based lubricants
If (like us) you’re no stranger to weekly recycling, often opt for bike over car and generally try to be mindful of your impact on the planet, you may have looked at oil-based bike lubricants and thought: “Well that’s not very eco-friendly.”
Well, so did British firm XCP, which has released a new “biodegradable, renewable and sustainable” bike lube that it says offers comparable performance to oil-based products, but is made almost entirely from bio-based materials.
The UK-made XCP Green One bike lubricant will cost £5 for 500ml when it goes on sale in B&Q later this month, and will be available in other retailers from July. And you thought cycling couldn’t get any more environmentally friendly…
