XLAB Gorilla Cage & Turbo Wing
The Gorilla Cage is a smart looking piece of carbon that’s not going to look out of place on even the fanciest steed. And, at £37.99, it’s competitively priced compared to other carbon cages.
Hitting a pothole and losing bottles can spell disaster but here my bottle stayed firmly in place despite hard mountain biking.
Fitting was easy and with Loctite-coated bolts it won’t rattle free. And, surprisingly, getting the bottle in and out was easy.
Combine two Gorilla Cages with the £39 Turbo Wing and you can mount your bottles securely out of your airflow and, with additional attachments, add Co2 cartridges, spare inners and more. On their own, the Gorilla Cages are excellent, but when combined with the Turbo Wing, you’ve got a hugely versatile aero-storage system.
