AGU Yamaska 435

The Yamaska may not be as tough as the Carradice CarraDry but it does use the same Rixen Kaul fixing system to clip to your bike. It makes for a solid binding, and the neat design means it remains rigid and rattle free over cobbles, kerbs and potholes.

It’s also smaller, but this means there’s no danger of catching your heels, and there’s still room enough inside for 14 litres of kit (28 litres per pair). You get one mesh and two zipped external compartments, which come in handy for organising your packing, as well as a pouch inside for documents.

The Yamaska’s fabric skin may be thinner than the CarraDry’s but it has a plastic coating on the inside that should keep the worst of the rain out. There’s also a bright yellow storm cover, with light-mounting bracket, for a little extra protection. The final niggle is that it’s only available as a pair, hence the price.
