Lumicycle LED 3SI

The Lumicycle light is not as bling as its pricier test-mates but its performance is easily on a par with them. Full beam isn’t far off the Sigma and it has a perfect blend of spot and flood.

From the reasonably compact and frame- friendly fabric-clad power pack, you get 3hrs of burn at full beam, but even when hammering along twisting unlit lanes, the 5hr second level is plenty.

With no helmet mount option, it’s aimed at high-performance road riding, and the excellent side visibility windows gives it something that none of the other high powered lights on test have.

Toggling through the lighting levels and the burn time/lighting level indicator takes a bit of getting used to but soon becomes intuitive. Fitting to the bars is with a simple cam clamp that remains solid and secure even on the roughest pothole-ridden roads.
