Best triathlon gear in the Amazon Prime Day sale
Garmin Fenix 7S (£499.99 £395)
Buy now from Amazon
The Fenix 7 is without doubt one of the best multisport watch on the market for triathletes.
It has excellent training features, activity profiles for dozens of sports (including triathlon), accurate GPS and HR tracking, impressive mapping and very good battery life.
You also get touchscreen functionality and a rugged built that’s capable of dealing with a bit of rough treatment.
As this is the 7S, the display is 42mm display compared to the standard 47mm version, but you can also grab the standard Fenix 7 for the same price, saving you 19% on the list price.
Alternatively, go larger still with the Fenix 7X Solar (£619.99 £485), and make the most of the solar charging.
We gave it an impressive score of 89% in our full Garmin Fenix 7 review.
Wahoo Kickr Snap (£249.99 £212)
Buy now from Amazon
Wahoo’s most economical turbo trainer is now even cheaper
The Snap is a wheel-on turbo trainer, so it doesn’t feel as realistic as more expensive direct-drive models, like the Kickr. Nor is it as accurate or as stable.
But if you can put up with these compromises, then you can train indoors for less cash thanks to this Amazon Prime Day discount.
Shokz OpenRun Pro (£159.95 £109)
Buy now from Amazon
If you’ve been holding out for a pair of Shokz headphones, you’re in luck. You’ll find 32% reductions across a number of the brand’s models in the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale.
The OpenRun Pros offer the signature open-ear design for a secure fit – ideal for an intense training session. Other desirable features include an impressive 10-day battery life and a lightweight – just 29g – design.
Content editor Rob Slade swears by his, wearing while working, in the gym and on all of his runs.
Polar H10 Heart Rate Monitor (£84.48 £65.99)
Buy now from Amazon
The Polar H10 is one of the best heart rate monitors around for reliable results.
It’s comfortable, reliable, waterproof up to 30m and has a battery life of 400 hours, at which point you can replace the battery.
Connectivity has proven to be great throughout my testing and there’s also an accompanying app.
I gave it a score of 86% when I reviewed it last year and it comes highly recommended.
Garmin Forerunner 255 (£289.99 £220.40)
Buy now from Amazon
If you’re after a Garmin watch and don’t want to spend hundreds, the Forerunner 255 is one of the best-value multisport watches out there.
You get the full gamut of training features and activity profiles, Garmin’s trademark usability and smartphone connectivity in a lightweight package that’ll weigh down your wrist less than the Fenix range.
Battery life isn’t as good as its bigger brother (featured above), but you still get 14 days in smartphone mode and up to 30 hours in GPS mode – plenty for even the longest of triathlon events.
At £220.50 it’s a bit of a steal. See our full Garmin Forerunner 255 review for more.
Garmin Edge 530 (£249.99 £181.99)
Buy now from Amazon
The Garmin Edge 530 has always been one of the brand’s more affordable bike computers while providing many of the features from pricier models.
It has a 2.6in colour display, up to 20 hours battery life and will help you analyse your performance by estimating metrics like VO2 max and training load.
You can also sync your training plan, connect to sensors over Bluetooth and ANT+ and benefit from features such as ClimbPro and LiveTrack.
Garmin HRM-Dual (£58.52 £36.99)
Buy now from Amazon
If you just want a simple heart rate monitor, the Garmin HRM-Dual will do the job. It now costs less than half as much as the brand’s premium chest straps.
While running and cycling, the HRM-Dual will record your beats per minute and transmit the data to your watch or bike computer.
Not being waterproof, you can’t swim with it, but it’s still a bargain at 37% off.
High5 Caffeine Energy Gel Raspberry (£28.99 £21.98)
Buy now from Amazon
Amazon’s Prime events are always a good time to stock up on energy gels, particularly towards the end of the season when you may be running low.
This option from High5 comes in a 20 pack, with each gel providing 23g of carbs and 30mg of caffeine.
The gels are made from natural fruit juice and there are a number of flavours available (berry, apple, blackcurrant, orange, mango and more), some with caffeine and some without, but prices vary based on flavour.
See our review of the High5 Energy Gel for more.
High5 Zero electrolyte tablets (£58.99 £29.55)
Buy now from Amazon
We think High5 Zero are some of the best electrolyte drinks. Although summer’s gone in the northern hemisphere, there’s never a bad time to restock on electrolyte tablets.
High5’s products are usually keenly priced: that’s especially true now these tabs are half price.
