Outlaw entry gone live!

Britain's newest long-distance race is open for entries

The UKs newest long-distance event, the Outlaw Triathlon, has gone live ahead of schedule. The redeveloped One Step Beyond website processed over 100 entries within a few hours of the site becoming live, despite not having publically announced that it was open.

The Outlaw will take place on Sunday 8 August 2010. It starts and finishes at Holme Pierrepont, the venue of the popular National Relays event, which is scheduled for 21 August.

The 2.4-mile swim will take place in Holme Pierrepont Lake and the bike 112-mile course will be a lapped route around north Nottinghamshire, including taking in the world-famous Sherwood Forest. The 26.2-mile run will cover laps from Holme Pierrepont along the banks of the River Trent. It’s a completely flat run and, combined with a rolling bike course, should make for some exceptionally fast times.

Entry costs £179. There are some exceptional hotel deals available through the official website. For triathletes entering before 15 November, Polar will give away three RS800CX MULTI Training Systems worth £464.50 each!
