Aloha Mr Graves!

Phil Graves takes a step closer to the Hawaii finish line

With 10 days to go, the great, good and damn fast of world triathlon are descending on the lava fields of Kona for Ironman Hawaii. News is filtering through that many Brits have touched down…

Chrissie Wellington has arrived, with the 31-year-old preparing for a hat-trick of Kona victories. Cat Morrison has also arrived, and will adorn a beautiful tartan number for the race. More on Cat’s unique trisuit and her build-up at www.catmorrison.com.

For the men, Stephen Bayllis and Phil Graves are our best bests for top-20 finishes. Don’t bet against Mr Graves going for the fastest bike split (and as you can see from the pic, thanks to good old Bike Box Alan, his bike has arrived safely!)

Our top wordsmith Liz Barrett will be heading over at the beginning of next week to bring you all the build-up and race action from the planet’s biggest tri.
