New Running Show hits London
Pencil in the end of Nov for run inspiration
The organisers of the TCR Show are branching out…
Whether a complete newbie or a seasoned competitor, the London Running Show is for you. Taking place on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November at Olympia in London, the show is designed to help you get the most out of running.
In addition to a wealth of ideas on the exhibition floor, The London Running Show will feature seminars, workshops and interactive displays and the finest kit available from the top names in running. Major brands exhibiting at the show include ASICS, Mizuno, Jog Shop, Puma, New Balance, Thousand Mile Socks and Hilly Clothing to name only a few.
Just by visiting the show you will be able to learn how to train effectively for any distance, choose the right nutrition and hydration programme to avoid injury and, at the same time, get personalised advice in the ‘one to one’ sessions.
Top coaches, athletes and experts will be on hand to present seminars and interactive workshops and to offer advice and guidance. Topics to be covered will include training for 5k, 10k, half and full marathons, nutrition, clothing and footwear choice and injury avoidance. In particular, speakers will take a detailed look at the basic principles of training, how to prepare and recover from long runs, the benefits of different types of shoes and clothing, injury prevention, general diet and the ‘two-hour’ factor.
On top of all of this there will also be demonstrations of running style and technique, stretching and pilates, plus indoor treadmill-based competitions and activities for you to take part in – so remember to bring your running kit! However, if you are carrying a persistent training niggle, or are worried about a strain or injury, then Physio 4 Life will be on hand in the London Running Show Sports and Injury Clinic. The Physio 4 Life team will be able to offer physiotherapy, run analysis, massage and core stability training to help you continue to train and compete.
