Adidas Kanadia TR

This attack on the lower-priced end of the market by Adidas is a roaring success. The mud-conquering Kanadia is excellent value for money for anyone looking to venture off the beaten track for the first time. They have an aggressive outsole that can cope with most terrains, a generous slab of cushioning and minimal weight.

But for the most serious off-roader it can’t quite compare to its more premium rivals. The upper, for example, doesn’t balance with the gnarly outsole, and a fairly standard combination of materials leads to more flexibility than you might expect from the aesthetic.

Neither are there any tough rubberised panels or exotic water-cheating fabrics to keep the elements at bay but, at this price, we’re not surprised.

Online buyers should also beware the sizing – it’s way off! We thoroughly recommend a test drive, if possible. All things considered, though, there’s no getting away from the price and all but the pickiest will be pleased.
