Adidas SS15 adistar bike clothing range – first look
Jerseys, bib shorts, body suits and more, with details inspired by jet fighter wings for extra swooshiness
Let’s cut to the chase – triathletes like to go fast, and nothing goes much faster than a fighter plane*. So the news that this new bike clothing range from Adidas has ‘Trailing Edge’ hems inspired by jet wings and designed to smooth airflow is bound to make us sit up and pay attention.
Teaming compressive, muscle-hugging fabrics with the brand’s classic three-stripe design, the new range includes: a long-sleeved jersey (£90), short-sleeved jersey (£80), jacket (£135, men-only), body suit (£100, women-only), bib short (£120, men-only), and gloves (£27).
The jerseys are made from windtunnel-tested DragZero fabric with covered full front zippers, while the bib shorts feature Carvico Revolutional Energy fabric to deliver high-quality compression. Not forgetting the aforementioned Trailing Edge Hems, there’s also strategically placed SlipStreamSeams for lower wind resistance, and a body-hugging fit.
