Saucony Kinvara 6 running shoes review

If Carlsberg made running shoes…. Probably one of the best you can buy

Saucony Kinvara 6 running shoes review

Like finding that perfect girl/boy, band or gumbo recipe, searching for the perfect trainers can be a long and painful process. But when that Eureka moment arrives… boom!

>>> Best lightweight running shoes review 2015

Ours came last year with the Saucony Kinvara 5; a trainer that mixed ultra-lightness (238g) with a slight 4mm drop, yet still offered decent cushioning for training and racing.

With our 5s now looking a touch Steptoe & Son, how do the latest fare? Out of the box and the same garish aesthetics remain (these greens are actually the pick of the range), as do the slender weight and 4mm drop.

So what’s changed? Not much, with the updated mesh upper proving more breathable during our midsummer runs, and less prone to going a touch baggy and shapeless like the 5s.

The fit ‘updates’ are negligible, making you wonder if a new version was even needed, but it’s still a remarkable shoe for both mile-munching and PB-crushing.

Verdict: Light, cushioned, fast… One of the best shoes you can buy, 93%
