Dirk Zangen and Siobhan Prise celebrate convincing wins after overcoming Scottish epic
Scotland’s Celtman Triathlon took place last weekend, after 150 hardy finishers struggled through 3.8km of swimming, a long 202km of cycling and 42km run in the beautiful Scottish highlands.
Men’s winner was Dirk Zangen from Germany, who finished the course in 11:51:14, around 17mins ahead of Chris Stirling (ENG). Third place was tied between Keiko Sepp (EST) and Odd Arne Engesæter (Norway).
The women’s race was emphatically won by Scotland’s own Siobhan Prise, who finished in 14:01:44. Crossing the line around 18mins later was Karin Sloove (NED), with Scotland’s Marie Meldrum finishing third.
