As part of our issue 300 celebrations, we speak to Lorraine Ferris, one of the founders of the 220 Tri Series events, which were among the UK’s first triathlon races.

In this interview, Lorraine describes the ill-fitting wetsuits athletes used to wear, which meant they would emerge from open-water swims freezing cold and in need of a rub down before they could continue on with the bike.

The 300th issue of 220 Triathlon magazine went on sale today, featuring a fresh new look, exclusive advice from the Brownlee brothers on how to bike stronger, loads of interactive content via the Blippar app and loads more.

Issue 300 is on sale now at newsagents across the UK, and the digital edition can be picked up via the iTunes store, Google Play and Zinio.
