Conrad ‘the Caveman’ Stoltz to race Xterra England

South African boosts pro lineup

Seven-time Xterra world champion Conrad ‘the Caveman’ Stoltz will be racing at this year’s Xterra England, lining up against defending champ Ben Allen (AUS), local favourite Sam Gardner (GBR) and Yeray Luxem (BEL).

“I’ve been busy planning my 2014 racing season and have always had one eye on Xterra England as it fits so nicely in my schedule with the ITU Cross-Triathlon Worlds in Germany the week before,” said Stoltz.

“Then I watched last year’s TV show on Youtube and I was immediately sold! What an awesome, challenging, fun course.”

This year’s event will take place on 23 August at the Vachery Estate in Surrey, with qualifying spots up for grabs for the Xterra World Championship in Hawaii this October, as well as a €15k prize pot for the 14 fastest athletes on the day.

Up to 1,000 age-groupers are expected to race, with the organisers saying last week that they expect entries to sell out within the next month or so.
