H2O Life Freestyle Audio Sport

The pool-friendly 1GB Sport player from Freestyle Audio is kitted out for sports use straight out of the box, coming complete with three different-sized earbud fittings for the waterproof phones and an armband.

Sound quality is reasonable and the earbuds aren’t uncomfortable, though the use of ear clips for swimming is slightly odd. However, the overriding impression is far from pleasing: it looks ugly, feels plasticky and the lack of an LCD makes operation awkward. It’s sporty, yes, but it also screams “I’m not that bothered about my music,” and if that’s the case, why would you want a player in the first place?
