Triathlon Skills and Techniques

Although aimed primarily at coaches, this British Triathlon Federation DVD provides plenty of technique advice that you can put into practice on your own or with training partners. You get a disc covering each of the triathlon disciplines, broken down into various different skills. The swim disc, for example, covers body position in the water, arm action, leg kick, breathing and open water.

There’s no presenter, though, so all the information comes through the footage and by supporting bullet points. This does mean the DVD lacks character, but even the novice will understand it fully. Good use of slow motion and freeze frame adds to the clarity, and action from the Elite National Champs helps to reinforce the advice.
