Brave Soldier Friction Zone

Brave Soldier is the official skincare supplier to Carmichael training systems in the US, so they should know a thing or two about athletes’ needs. Friction Zone (we tested the £2 sample version but we’d recommend the 180ml product) is their multipurpose skin lubricant and, like all those tested here, is wetsuit friendly; in other words, non-petroleum based. The consistency of Friction Zone is quite gel-like and it’s lightly fragranced with a pleasant citrus smell. Once applied the gel couldn’t really be shifted with plain water and resisted sweating well, too.

Containing anti-bacterial elements, it would make a good alternative to chamois cream, so may be more useful as an all-round tri-lubricant.
