Tacx Cyclespider Team
Tacx’s Cyclespider is stable and nicely made, but a faff to fettle with. Once together, though, it’s light and easy to pack down between uses. You can work either side of the bike or even rotate it completely around, and it’s height-adjustable for tweaking transmission or topside components. A tool tray is included for tools, mugs of tea and so on.
The real pain about using the stand is that you have to have at least one wheel out for it to work. And until the quick release is closed, the bike is balancing pretty precariously on a little chock between the chainstays, which also means it’s not compatible with under-bottom-bracket fins or brakes (as found on some aero bikes).
