Mizuno Wave Precision

This is a lightweight shoe for neutral runners. Lighter runners can use it for training, while others could use it for racing or faster training.

The fit and feel are good, with a surprisingly well-cushioned ride, given the weight. The cushioning is firm-to-springy, compared with the softer Nike Victory or lower-profile Puma Infinitus, but this means that the shoe holds up well in longer sessions.

It’s the responsiveness that’s most notable with this shoe. Running at speed feels natural and the level of protection on offer makes for comfort, even in longer races. This is not a shoe for mileage, but one for faster training and racing alongside a more protective training shoe.
