Gore Actiondry
As with the majority of Gore’s products, the fabric in these Actiondry tights feels luxurious and befitting of the premium price. It’s also highly functional, with a mechanical push/pull system to ensure that any sweat ends up on the outer face rather than against the skin. This ensures that comfort is maintained when training at higher intensities or if temperatures rise, but still maintains plenty of helpful insulation for colder days.
The tights are constructed from an interesting pattern with various intersecting seams that don’t seem to serve any purpose. The resulting fit is snug, with the larger leg muscles well supported from an acceptable level of compression.
But there are some frustrating elements – namely the extremely high cut of the waistband, as overall comfort suffers unless you’ve a preference for coverage over and above your winter love handles. Furthermore, the long leg length causes wrinkles and a small amount of flap around the ankles. This suggests that the tights are designed for very tall or bigger-boned athletes.
