Exposure Strada
This well-made light is intended for road use. It’s easy to mount on a very solid metal bracket and boasts some nice features, including a separate switch that can be placed anywhere on your handlebars and operated while wearing gloves.
Its two LEDs give a wide, penetrating beam and, despite the battery pack being part of the light, the whole unit isn’t heavy. A fuel gauge light on the back of the unit tells you how much power is left. Impressively, it will burn for 10 hours in dipped mode.
The operating sequence takes a bit of remembering, but it’s logical once you familiarise yourself with it. The light can be helmet mounted, but we felt it was slightly heavy for that use. The well-made seat-post or helmet mounted rear light pictured here, the Red Eye, is an optional extra that retails at £40.
