Light & Motion Stella 150 Lumens

The NiMH battery makes this small light a little heavier than the MiNewt Mini, but it packs in 40 more lumens in a slightly wider beam.

Critically, there’s also more control. A push button on the light unit switches first to full power, then lower power and flash mode. This is good because it gets rid of the need to cycle through power options when going from full to dip.

This light is probably as small as you can go for unlit country road use. You get a lot of power for the weight, long run-time and plenty of control. Plus, its construction seems very sturdy. But there’s not much lead between battery and light, which restricts battery-mounting positions. As an addition, there’s also a helmet option.
