Spiuk Second Skin Unisex

Spiuk is well known in the triathlon arena, in no small part thanks to Spain’s Javier Gomez storming many a World Cup over the last few seasons. They’ve garnered a strong reputation… which carries over to the Second Skin. In short, it does exactly what it says on the tin, fitting very close to the body without being restrictive.

In the pool, the suit feels very fast and flexible, which followed onto the bike and run. The legs are longer than those on standard suits and finish just above the knee – a nice touch as it makes leg muscles feel supported.

One problem you will experience is getting it on: the front zip is relatively short and means it’s hard to get the shoulders up. This also leads to a bit too much force on the chest for our liking, though by the time your temperature’s rising on the run, unzipping to reduce heat will also release the pressure. With a great chamois and leg gripper, this suit scores well as a long-lasting workhorse.
