Mavic Tri Pro

There’s no questioning that, with its sleek metallic looks and a symphony of exotic materials and construction techniques, this is a very desirable tri shoe.

The Tri Pro has clearly received a great deal of design attention, with unique features like the detachable secondary strap, that offers levels of extra adjustment not often found on other tri models. There are robust frame components, too, that provide excellent foot support and a snug fit.

Performance wise, the low-profile carbon outsole has a surprisingly high level of stiffness, delivering precise and almost unforgiving feedback.

As a human being, you’re definitely reminded as being the weak link in the cycling system.
The primary strap is broad and incorporates a clever strip to improve grab and slide, but the notches provided to keep the shoe open as you arrive in transition are too secure and require a wrestle when fastening in a hurry.
